How we can help
What Help is available?
In addition to our services, we offer free, impartial advice. If you cannot find the information you are looking for on our site, please contact us.
Workplace support
If you are Dyslexic, in employment and in need of support, then there are schemes that may be able to assist you.
Access to Work is a government scheme that offers practical help at work if your health or disability affects the way you do your job. Access to Work can help you and your employer by offering advice and support with extra costs which may arise because of your needs, and will offer help towards the cost of equipment you need at work.
You may be eligible for Access to Work if you are:
- In a job, unemployed or about to start a job;
- Unemployed and about to start a Work Trial;
- Self-employed and your disability/health condition prevents you from doing parts of your job.
Your disability or health condition may not have a big effect on what you do each day, but may have a long-term effect on how well you can do your job.
Training and Awareness
We offer training consultancy in Dyslexia awareness in the style of a user guide to Dyslexia. The course covers perceptions of the disability through to recognition and analysis of Dyslexic characteristics enabling health and employment professionals to work more in tune with Dyslexia.
